Torquay Surfworld Leisure Centre, Beach Road, Torquay. This gymnasium was an ideal place to investigate the use of portal framing in long span, low rise construction.
A wide view of the portal frame, focusing mainly on the knee joint, but also displaying different elements of the frame, including the haunching and stiffeners.
